E- Delta League 19th Edition (December)

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) jointly organized the e-Delta League Tournament from 14-19 December 2020, with the Grand Finals taking place on 19 December 2020 at OCBC Arena. Mr Melvin Yong, Member of Parliament for Radin Mas Single Member Constituency and Special Advisor to Delta League, graced the event as the guest of honour.

2. This year, for the first time in its history, the SPF and NCPC brought Delta League online and leverage on e-gaming to continue our engagement with the youths despite the physical challenges posed by COVID-19.

3. In this e-edition of the Delta League, youths, aged between 13 and 17, participated in FIFA 21 via a 2-versus-2 game format on the PlayStation 4 console. There were over 100 players from 46 teams who competed in the open category. The youths also participated in workshops and activities such as e-Juggling competition and crime prevention video production. These activities were designed to enhance their crime prevention awareness and inculcate a sense of social responsibility, teamwork and discipline under the guidance of assigned police mentors.

4. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Delta League in 2021, a new logo was also launched at the event. The new logo was selected from the submissions for a logo design competition which concluded on 4 December 2020. The new logo is striking and distinctive as it is now framed in a triangular Delta (∆) sign, used in maths and sciences to represent change, applicable to the League's mission to change the lives of youth through football. The triangle and "DL" sign give a stronger identity for the league.

5. Delta League will continue with its runs in engaging youths in 2021.
